Deco Mesh Easter Wreath

Deco Mesh Easter Wreath : Across the Blvd

From North of the Boulevard~

I've got one more Easter wreath that I wanted to post this season. The vibrant colors of spring are on display in this deco mesh Easter wreath. Filled with flowers, Easter eggs and bows, this wreath says Happy Easter!  It's easy to make and a DIY deco mesh wreath is a much more budget friendly option than purchasing one!

From North of the Boulevard~

Recently I saw a package of adorable bunny ears napkin rings at Michaels. After I looked closely at them, I thought, those would be so simple to make and I knew I already had everything I would need to make them.

Chocolate Easter Muffins With Cream Cheese Frosting

Chocolate Easter Muffins

From North of the Boulevard~

What is there to do on a rainy afternoon when you're home alone? Baking-that's what! This afternoon was a dreary day, so I checked my pantry to see what ingredients I could find to bake something, preferably something chocolate. I found everything I needed to make chocolate muffins with cream cheese frosting. Since my grandson is arriving for his spring break tomorrow, I thought it would be fun to make them Easter Muffins.

One Good Thing Week Nine

Welcome to week number nine in our One Good Thing Series. Each Friday, we will be choosing one good thing from the week prior to highlight.  While lots of good things can be found throughout the week, this is a place to spotlight one in particular. It might be something as simple as a great meal we had or a blog post that inspired us. It could be something awesome that that happened in our lives or in the world around us. It might be something related to our blog. Some will be from Gloria and some from Beverly.  They will all be short snippets of what made us stop and think "Well, that was a good thing!"

We would love to have others share their own One Good Thing.

Grapevine Easter Wreath

Grapevine Easter Wreath

From North of the Boulevard~

Now that we're only a few weeks away from Easter, it's time to spruce up my front door with a new wreath. I wanted it to be colorful for spring with a little bit of Easter added to it. I gave the burlap and denim wreath to Gloria, so my door was looking a little bare.  I've seen lots of lovely grapevine wreaths lately, so I decided I'd make one for Easter. Using some silk flowers and some burlap, I think this one offers a nice welcome.

Easter Egg Bouquet and Tablescape

Easter Egg Bouquet Across the Blvd

From North of the Boulevard~

I wanted to add lots of color to my breakfast nook this spring. It's usually decked out in palm tree tableware and coastal decor, but I wanted to change it up to be a fun spot that says "Happy Easter!" To make it colorful, I put together an Easter Egg Bouquet and used some bright, colorful tableware.

Easter Vignette With Burlap & Lace Bunny

Easter Vignette with Burlap and Lace Bunny

From North of the Boulevard~

My foyer table is a spot in my  house that I love changing out seasonally. This year, I wanted to use pink and white decor to match my dining room  Easter tablescape. I loved that to put the look together, I managed to shop my own house to find lots of pieces that would work for this. The one thing I was missing was a focal point or centerpiece. After spotting some lace covered burlap recently, I knew it would make a fun Easter bunny that would be great for this.

Marshmallow, Mint & Cashew Brownies

Marshmallow & Mint Brownies

I can't let St Patrick's Day pass by without adding a little something green to the blog. Gooey brownies with a marshmallow, cashew and mint M&Ms topping may be a little messy, but they are certainly worth it. The combination of flavors and textures makes this a delicious treat.

Time Crashes Down

From North of the Boulevard~

Yesterday started off so well. It was a beautiful, sunny day in Charleston. I spent a little time doing a Face Time chat with my youngest grandson. He’s absolutely precious. Then, Gloria called and asked me if I wanted to go antique shop hopping with her. Absolutely! We had a nice day, found a few treasures and I found one great idea for a new craft.

Faux Sugar Eggs

Faux Sugar Eggs

From North of the Boulevard~

Last year after Easter, I bought several bags of plastic eggs that were on sale for 75% off. I got my Easter decorations out a few days ago and have been looking at these bags of eggs wondering how I wanted to use some of them. I thought about spray painting and I've seen lots of beautifully painted speckled eggs. I decided to go a little different route with mine.

Spring Basket With Rolled Fabric

Spring Basket With Rolled Fabric

From North of the Boulevard~

This little project happened after I bought four cute baskets from the thrift store for $1.00. I brought them home, not knowing what I was going to do with them other than spray painting each of them in some bright spring time colors. After cleaning and painting them, they definitely looked much better, but they were still a little plain.

Sand Dollar Candle Holder

Sand Dollar Candle Holder Across the Blvd

From North of the Boulevard~

I recently saw a beautiful candle holder made using sea shells posted on Hometalk. Given my love for all things beachy, I had to check it out. The more I saw, the more I loved the idea. Emily at Table and Hearth gives a great tutorial on how she makes candle holders using oyster shells. She's also made them from barnacles and scallops. All of them are lovely.

Cherry Fluff ~A Quick & Easy Delight

From North of the Boulevard~

Want an easy, easy, easy treat? This Cherry Fluff Salad is one of my favorite, easy recipes. Some people think of it as a dessert and while it's definitely a sweet treat, it can fall into the fruit salad category, too.  Whether it's served with a meal or after, it's delicious! Did I mention how easy it is to make?

Spring Wreath Using Burlap & Denim

Spring Wreath Using Burlap and Denim

I've been reworking some of my old wreaths and when I came across this burlap squares wreath, I thought it would be perfect to use for the March Craft Challenge that challenges crafters to make something using an old pair of jeans. The rosettes and the the little bird are made from old, worn out jeans.

Single Letter Monogram Wall Art With Lace

From North of the Boulevard

If you've seen any of my crafts, you know that I love quick and easy projects. I also love using old frames for various types of wall art. This frame has been used and reused for several different looks. This time, I wanted to make a framed initial in a simple, cheap and easy way. I managed to do just that in under ten minutes using things I had on hand.

Styling A Mantel With Coastal Decor

Coastal Mantel

From North of the Boulevard~

With the dark colors of winter now in the rear view, it's time to bring some lighter decor pieces to my mantel. Whenever it's an in between holidays time, my typical mantel and fireplace decor always goes back to a coastal feel. Using a combination of elements, I turn the space into something light and beachy.
